LED Infrared Light Therapy for Pain, Acne & More in Glendale, CA
Light Therapy For Pain
Infrared light offers a whole new set of medical benefits that are clinically proven to penetrate deep below the skin’s surface layer to target muscle and joint pain at the source, providing much-needed pain relief for people who suffer from inflammation, arthritis or another type of injury.
Whether you suffer from arthritis pain, an ankle sprain, a muscle strain, or an injury to the knee, wrist or back, red light therapy can help to reduce inflammation and bring much needed pain relief.
Light Therapy For Acne
For both mild to moderate acne, acne light therapy can make a big difference in treating acne and minimizing its appearance. With light therapy for acne, as well as scars, the treatments can help reduce the appearance and recurrence of acne, free of unwanted side effects.
Ideal for addressing congestion, blue light therapy for acne works by primarily affecting the epidermis or the uppermost layer of the skin. With a blue light treatment, the blue light device helps kill different types of acne-causing bacteria that can collect in the pores and oil glands, causing acne to form. Due to its antimicrobial properties, this noninvasive treatment is effective for those who experience acne due to clogged pores.
Light Therapy for Skin Rejuvenation & Collagen Production
Red light therapy (RLT) is a treatment that uses low levels of red light to reportedly improve your skin’s appearance, like reducing wrinkles, scars, redness and acne. It’s also touted to treat other medical conditions. Red light therapy is thought to work by acting on the “power plant” in your body’s cells called mitochondria. With more energy, other cells can do their work more efficiently, doing things like repairing skin, boosting new cell growth and enhancing skin rejuvenation. More specifically, certain cells absorb light wavelengths and are stimulated to work.
How Does LED Infrared Light Therapy Work?

Fibroblast cells are responsible for producing collagen and elastin, the two most common proteins in connective tissue. However, as we age, our fibroblast cells become compromised resulting in lower levels of these proteins. We might start noticing decreased elasticity in our skin, wrinkles, and our joints may not move as freely as they used to. This is because lower levels of collagen lead to breakdowns in cartilage which can cause inflammation, soreness, stiffness, arthritis, and prolonged recovery time after physical activity. Other common signs of aging can include:
- Skin and tissue deterioration
- Melasma
- Arthritis
- Inflammation
- Chronic joint and muscle pain
- Keratosis
If you’re experiencing one or more of these signs, then it could be an indicator your collagen levels are deficient.
Proven by research, the red and near-infrared wavelengths utilized in LED light therapy devices combat the signs of aging. These specific wavelengths of light energy are clinically verified to enhance your body’s natural ability to generate collagen and elastin by activating the fibroblast cells.

LED Infrared Light Therapy Treatment Process
We first have a consultation to make sure this treatment is right for you.
Light therapy is actually relaxing. You will simply adjust yourself into a restful position, and we place the light therapy device around the treatment area. A single treatment lasts between 15 and 30 minutes. Most patients experience immediate results and leave with their skin feeling like it is glowing. For patients that want to try light therapy for pain, stiff, sore and painful joints may experience improvements with one to three sessions. Keep in mind that results vary from patients to patient depending on the patient’s inherent health, the severity of the condition and adherence to protocols.

This patient used LED Infrared Light Therapy 2 times a week for 4 weeks.
