Radiesse is a dermal filler comprised of calcium hydroxylapatite that provides structure to your skin as well as encouraging new collagen growth and is a great product to fill in dimples.

Radiesse vs. Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

Radiesse dermal filler injections and the surgical Brazilian Butt Lift are two procedures that target the buttocks to increase the volume, roundness, and texture of the buttocks. They differ in several key ways, however, most notably in how the procedure is performed. As a dermal filler treatment, Radiesse involves the injection of the calcium hydroxylapatite-based filler into various points across the treatment area. Radiesse treatment is a quick and relatively painless procedure that requires no downtime and, other than mild side effects that can include bruising and soreness, limited risk of adverse events. The Brazilian Butt Lift, on the other hand, is a form of plastic surgery that requires ample recovery time and has a greater risk of serious side effects. Performed by a plastic surgeon, the Brazilian Butt Lift involves a surgical fat transfer from another area of the patient’s body, such as the abdomen or thighs, to the buttocks. The fat transfer is performed via liposuction, which is a procedure that involves an incision and the insertion of an instrument known as a cannula to gather fatty tissue. The fat tissue is then grafted to the buttocks for butt augmentation.

In conclusion, Radiesse is safer, easier, cheaper and has much less recovery time than a Brazilian Butt Lift with similar results.

How Does Radiesse Work?

Radiesse is the perfect alternative to invasive surgery. This dermal filler works deep in the dermis to help revitalize collagen for a youthful appearance with natural results, leaving your butt and legs smoother and dimple free.

Radiesse may be used with or without Sculptra to augment the buttocks to give it a smooth and more aesthetically appealing shape. Radiesse works with your body to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume. Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore the volume loss and the look of fullness. Patients may require a series of treatments to achieve their desired results.

Treatment Process

Radiesse is injected directly to where you want it, making it a lot more precise than a general surgery. The time spent applying the treatment is roughly 30 minutes. It’s not uncommon for there to be some bruising, but this will go away shortly. You may also undergo some temporary soreness or extra tightness. To complete the Radiesse Augmentation, it requires a series of treatments every 4 weeks. The effects of the treatment lasts 2 to 5 years, but it can vary.
